ZWSJ Updates | Progress Accelerates for Yangchun Aviation Economic Zone Project

On July 29, Li Qianchang, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Yangjiang Municipal People’s Congress and Secretary of the CPC Yangchun Municipal Committee, led a delegation to visit CHINA ZWSJ AIR GROUP. The two sides held special docking discussions on core matters including the overall development of Yangchun Aviation Economic Zone and the aircraft production line project in the Mashui area. This meeting marks the transition of the Yangchun project from preliminary negotiations to a comprehensive acceleration phase.

Li Qianchang, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Yangjiang Municipal People’s Congress and Secretary of the CPC Yangchun Municipal Committee, led a delegation to visit the Group. Both sides held special docking discussions on the Yangchun Aviation Economic Zone project. This is an in-depth meeting led by the principal leader of the Yangchun Municipal Party Committee, following the first contact between the two sides in early July.

Located at the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Hainan Free Trade Port and Beibu Gulf Urban Agglomeration, Yangchun boasts significant geographical advantages. The two sides have previously signed the Framework Cooperation Agreement. This meeting confirmed the consensus of continuing the existing agreement and accelerating project implementation.

Both sides conducted in-depth communication on core issues including general airport site selection, aircraft production line implementation and industrial introduction, and reached systematic consensus on the project advancement roadmap. The aviation economic zone will adopt the "Two Zones & Three Parks" spatial layout, implementing the principle of "overall planning and phased implementation". The aircraft production line project in the Mashui area will be prioritized as the first-phase manufacturing segment.

Both parties unanimously agreed to establish a joint working group, implementing a dual-track advancement mechanism of "manufacturing first, airport in parallel", synchronously promoting production line construction and general airport approval work. In the short term, low-altitude cultural tourism demonstration projects will be launched, with a complete aviation economic zone to be built in the medium to long term.

Development Outlook

As a key transportation hub in western Guangdong, Yangchun City boasts prominent geographical advantages and mature industrial carrying conditions, which are highly compatible with the Group’s "Two Zones & Three Parks" model. This meeting marks further deepening of cooperation on the Yangchun project. Both sides will continue to advance collaboratively to accelerate project implementation.
